Italian tomato sauce
For 4 servings you will need:
Olive oil2 tablespoons
Onion1 bulb
Cloves garlic3 cloves
Oregano1 tablespoon
Canned tomatoes TM “Chigirin”800 g
Tomatoes4 pieces
Tomato paste2 tablespoons
Sugar1 tablespoon
How to prepare:
1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan, add finely chopped onions and crushed garlic and cook for about 7-8 minutes.
2. Add dry oregano, chopped canned tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar. Season to taste and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring, until the sauce is evaporated by a third and thickens a little.
3. Peel fresh tomatoes from the skin and seeds, add to the sauce and cook for 2 more minutes. Season with salt and ground black pepper and serve with pasta or cover sauce with a base for pizza.
